Story- Finding Muffin

Finding Muffin

I am having a bad day today. I woke up this morning and my mom told me that my dog, Muffin, is missing. Muffin lives outside in our backyard. The door of the fence that surrounds our backyards was open this morning when my mom woke up. My mom walked around the neighborhoods and called Muffin’s name but did not come home. She asked all of our neighbors but no one has seen Muffin since yesterday.
I decided that I am going to make signs to hang all over town, so if someone finds Muffin, they can call my family. I called my next door neighbors, Kelly, to see if she wanted help me make signs. Kelly came over and we made signs with a picture of Muffin and my phone number. Muffin is a big, friendly Golden Retriever. He is five years old but he still acts like a puppy. Before we left a hang up our signs, I put a bowl of Muffin my favorite treats by the fence door.
Kelly and I went a supermarket first. We asked the cashier if we could hang up a sign on the wall. She said yes and wished us luck. Next, we went to the library. The librarian told us that she saw a Golden Retriever walking past the library while she was outside during her lunch break. She said that it was walking in direction of the playground, so we decided to go there next.

When Kelly and I arrived in the playground I looked everywhere but I didn't see Muffin no where. I said to Kelly “Kelly I'm starting to think that I really lost my dog “no way we are going to find Muffin don't worry his going to show up” said Kelly. So I went home mom called me to dinner but I was so sad that I wasn't hungry at all. I just cried all night. Mom came to my room and said “son don't be like that I know you love Muffin all of us do, but you need to eat something” Mark the son respond “no mom I'm  sad I can't live with out muffin he has been with us for 5 years his my best friend”. From there mom knew she had to do something about it. The next day mom and Mark went to the neighbors house and ask everybody if they seen Muffin and if they could help us to find him. We had help from everyone, people looked everywhere but unfortunately no one had found Muffin. When we got home mom looked in to my eyes and said “kid I'm so sorry but Muffin is gone” that was the sadness moment of my life. Mom said “everyone will go someday Mark and this was his time, he will be meeting grandma up there. So that made me feel better.
